We’re thrilled to announce that we have been awarded the Payroll Assurance Scheme (PAS) accreditation by The Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP).
The Payroll Assurance Scheme is the prestigious gold standard for both people and payroll processes and is a much-coveted award in the payroll industry. As the only voluntary accreditation on the market to be developed in partnership with HMRC, the award validates Phase 3’s dedication to compliance and commitment to high standards, accuracy and overall best practice when it comes to the delivery of payroll for clients.
In order to achieve the PAS accreditation, the CIPP thoroughly assessed and identified risks and inadequate processes arising from skill gaps. The team recognised the pride Phase 3 take in their services, accomplishing 99.9% accuracy in their payslips through robust business checks and processes. They also recognised the strong relationships between Phase 3 and their clients, commending Phase 3 on their onboarding process, regular meetings and clear communications.
Over the last year, there has been many changes made by HMRC concerning furlough and job retention schemes which has presented numerous challenges for payroll professionals. The CIPP were impressed by the measures Phase 3 took to stay ahead of any updates and changes, the guidance and contact that was made to all clients to make them aware of scheme changes. One of the steps taken by Phase 3 that especially impressed the CIPP, was the calculation that Phase 3 built which could be tailored for individual clients, even though there had been so many changes. Overall, Phase 3 showed great initiative over the past year and proved their readiness to deal with any new legislative requirements going forward.
“I feel Phase 3 are ahead of the game and anything thrown at them they will find a solution to it.” Sandra Lingwood , CIPP Assessor.
Another aspect of the assessment that was recognised by the CIPP was how seriously security and possible data breaches are taken at Phase 3. They recognised how extremely important this aspect was due to the nature of their clients. Phase 3 put in place many measures to achieve the high levels of security, for example the use of SLL encryption for the sensitive data and the holding of monthly audits.
“The challenges faced by the payroll team over the last year have been immense, so I am incredibly proud that we have achieved this accreditation. It demonstrates Phase 3’s commitment to delivering exceptional service, the highest standards and our innate ability to solve our customers problems.” James Proctor, Director of Consulting & Services.
From the assessment, the CIPP were able to see the actions that Phase 3 take to keep up to date with any updates or changes to schemes, legislations, or client business requirements. Phase 3 undertake frequent relevant training and provide continuous learning and development opportunities for its employees.
