Assad founded Phase 3 in 2004 and is responsible for the strategy, growth and finances of the business. Cultivating a world class culture is very close to his heart as is ensuring that Phase 3 remains a business of innovation, talent, credibility and fun. Assad’s background has always been in business growth. He knows how to get the best from people and how to stay focused in seeking collective opportunities. In the people tech market his networks are expansive and his relationships stand tests of time.
Outside of Phase 3, Assad is a dedicated father to three children and still likes to think he could have made it as a professional football player had he been spotted…!
James leads the service delivery and operations for Phase 3. He heads with Assad the management team, ensures our team and clients are effortlessly supported and co-creates our service innovations as well as being an author of content to support the HR, Payroll and Finance Systems professional.
It’s a big ask at Phase 3 to maintain our exceptional calibre and in James it is one that our customers and colleagues can feel safe with.
His capabilities developed fast in an HR service-lead role in local government, since when he has accelerated through impressive career success, founded on a robust knowledge base in HR, Payroll and Finance solutions.
Chris is our Head of Finance responsible for all aspects of Financial reporting along with the day to day management of Phase 3’s Finance function. Chris is also Key to ensuring the business has strong financial controls to ensure the Financial stability and future growth of the business
Chris has a long history working within the SME environment as well as working within larger businesses to provide key support to the wider team on Financial Matters.
In his own time Chris is a Scout Leader and has a love of climbing along with a strong interest in sustainability.
Simon leads the Phase 3 delivery of Professional Services and Partner Delivery. As an exceptional technician himself, he is responsible for team capabilities and development and supporting customer success throughout project delivery.
With a background in HR Strategy, it has been the accidental discovery of his own abilities to find solutions within the people technology that have led Simon to Phase 3. He applies deep contextual understanding of the HR and People agenda to drive product solutions that are creative and confidently delivered.
Simon is a committed follower of Formula 1 and American football and a self-confessed fair weather cyclist.
Adam is our Head of Managed Services, managing the successful delivery of our payroll managed services to a range of clients. He develops bespoke managed payroll services for clients – for the long or short term – and manages the team to ensure absolute accuracy and
Adam’s payroll knowledge and experience is insurmountable – as is his ability to translate complex payroll conversations into understandable bite sized chunks. With a significant focus on accuracy and with the people at the heart of every payroll run Adam ensures our team
achieve a thorough and robust payroll service to all of our clients.
Adam is dedicated and supportive. He is a dad to young children, a devoted husband and keen driver.

Louise works between customers and consultants as our Customer Success Manager for Consulting. She is responsible for scoping and for matching the requirement of scope to the talented individuals she manages and amongst our wider Associate networks. Louise supports
clients through the delivery of their projects ensuring customer
success to the highest standards.
Louise is the active advocate of translating HR requirement into technology service delivery. A self-confessed appreciation of the challenges of ‘getting’ technology, she is a professional who can empathise and yet enthuse.
At home, she’s mum and with the same sense of excitement about life, balanced with some calm in considered yoga and wellbeing practices.
Laura’s role as Head of Marketing sees her continually looking for new opportunities to tell the world how great Phase 3 is. She is responsible for marketing strategy and heads up the digital marketing and communication activities.
Laura is a firm believer in a people first approach to marketing and works hard to ensure that all Phase 3 communications are not only creative and innovative, but are focused on the needs of the customer. Her years of technology based marketing experience means she brings expertise, knowledge and results driven tactics to marketing campaigns .
Outside of work its her young family who are the centre of her world, closely followed by her passion for the great outdoors.
Marilyn is Head of Quality Assurance & Governance and is responsible for Quality – ensuring our service delivery leads are accountable for high quality delivery, Accreditations, Internal Audits, Process and Policies, and Phase 3 Key Performance Indicators.
Her supportive approach builds confidence for all and it’s well-founded. With significant experience in HR leadership and payroll management, she brings particular expertise in driving continuous service improvement, she is appreciative of the people agendas and embodies our Phase 3 people focus.
Marilyn is warm and wise. When she’s not at work she loves to spend time with her children and grandchildren or travelling in her much loved caravan.
Executive Assistant to the Directors Responsible For: Contract Management, Assisting the Directors with inbox management, Appointment scheduling, Phase 3 social Events, Travel Bookings, Supplier Contracts, E-Learning Content and Administration
As well as being responsible for Assad and James’ diary planning, Lauren is our Executive assistant and takes responsibility for all of our supplier contracts at Phase 3 as well as arranging all of our social events which are never boring!
Lauren is the main contact for our office management and ensures our operations run smoothly as our resource planner.
Her fun loving spirit and infectious laugh always set a great tone for the team!
Clive has worked in HR and Payroll for over 28 years going through a range of disciplines from HR management, HR and Payroll software procurement, Project Management, Account Management and Sales. He has seen the HRIS software world from all sides.
As Head of Sales, Clive has a simple goal – for all Phase 3 customers – “to provide the very best, impartial advice on new solutions or getting the very best out of your existing solution”. There is nothing more rewarding to Clive than customer satisfaction.
When not at work Clive is usually found on the golf course or in Wells Next the Sea where he spends much of his spare time.
Mike is Head of Consulting, he heads up a team of specialists that include Consulting, Data & Analytics, Project Management, Data Migration and System Selection and ensures Phase 3’s delivery on all of these aspects meet our core values and beliefs which ultimately decides a successful project, whatever that may be.
Before his most recent role, Mike’s early career was as a Lead Consultant, focussing on the customers organisational requirements and translating them into their system of choice. His consulting standards are not only excellent, but they are highly efficient and flexible. He does not believe that your time nor money should be wasted.
Mike’s home-life revolves round his family and enjoys building and maintaining “side hustles” using many of the online social media and e-commerce platforms available today.
Dean is a seasoned technology executive with a long track record of growing businesses in particular in HR, Payroll and ERP Technology.Recently, Dean was CEO of CoreHR before its sale to the Access Group where he went on to become President of their HCM division.
Today, Dean serves as CEO of Forterro, a Pan European ERP company focused on the mid-market. Dean is also Chairman and Co-Founder of Forbes Family Group, a social enterprise focused on social mobility and a Business Advisor to Phase 3 to support our plans for growth and excellence in the marketplace
