Working alongside a small internal project team, we supported Wright Hassall LLP with their implementation of HiBob CoreHR and Payroll UK, delivered  workshops and Q&A sessions to build confidence in configuring the system.

The company

Wright Hassall LLP is a UK law firm, like many professional services organisations, they needed an HR and payroll platform that could support automation, data accuracy and consistent processes without adding complexity. After careful consideration they decided to switch to the HiBob system, Phase 3 came alongside them to support them during their implementation.

We supported them with the migration of 230 employees

The project ran from April to July, resulting in a smooth go-live

Since then we've been supporting them with a Managed Payroll service

The unique problems and challenges they faced

Wright Hassall approached the HiBob implementation with clear objectives: to reduce manual processes, improve process consistency, streamline best practices, empower employees and managers with self-service workflows, and increase the depth of data and reporting to inform data-driven decision making.

The implementation itself was led by a small internal team, and though the team was highly engaged, they were initially nervous about configuring a new system and needed reassurance that they were setting things up correctly and making the most of what HiBob offered. As HiBob offers an out-of-the-box solution, configuration mainly means customising the tool to your exact preferences.

The solution we provided

We supported Wright Hassall as their HiBob implementation partner, providing practical guidance through 1:1 sessions, workshops and Q&A sessions.

Using HiBob’s Training Village, Wright Hassall were able to get hands-on with the system. The Training Village offers a wide range of resources, including instructional videos, written guides and use case examples, which complimented that tailored support we provided in our sessions.

Our support included:

1:1 workshops on topics like workflows and tasks

Answering specific questions about their configuration

Helping them tweak the out-of-the-box design to suit their needs

Working through specific examples together

This project demonstrates how a small internal team, supported by practical workshops and targeted consultancy, can successfully implement HiBob and quickly build confidence.

The Results

The project kicked off in April, progressed smoothly, and the went live in July. By go-live, the team was confident in using both CoreHR and Payroll UK, and a successful parallel payroll run was completed for June.

What stood out was how quickly Wright Hassall moved from initial caution to confidence. Once they had explored the Training Village and worked through their questions with us in workshops, they were able to manage the system effectively themselves.

Following go-live, we have continued to work with Wright Hassall by delivering a Managed Payroll service.
